Our marriages are truly a gift from God, and the Bible teaches that they are actually a living, breathing illustration of Christ’s relationship to the church. A better working relationship with our spouse will help us in our relationship with the Lord. And a proper understanding of our relationship with Christ will guide our relationship with our spouse. Without Christ, we are incomplete and unable to have eternal life. In much the same way, God gives spouses to complete us and make us fit to navigate life on earth.
