MEET OUR PASTOR

Pastor Berlin’s ministry at Faith Baptist Church in Clinton Township is centered on helping people prepare to stand before God. Whether they need a personal relationship with Christ through salvation, or to develop a more intimate fellowship with Christ through sanctification, Pastor Berlin stands ready to help. The word of God has the answers to both these conditions, and he puts a high priority on preaching. Drawing from Joshua 24:15, Pastor Berlin says his first and most important priority is to lead his family to love and serve God with all their hearts.

It was during a revival meeting with evangelist Tom Farrell that Pastor Berlin realized his sin would eternally separate him from God, and he accepted Christ as his Savior at age 8. Growing up in Columbiaville, MI, Pastor Berlin graduated from Juniata Christian School in 1987. He received his bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Bible from Maranatha Baptist Bible College in 1991 and his master’s degree from Northland Baptist Bible College in 2003. He also received an Honorary Doctorate from Alabama Baptist Seminary. He has previously served as a youth pastor for 14 years, and 8 years as senior pastor at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Logansport, IN. In October 2011, Pastor Berlin accepted the call to become senior pastor at Faith Baptist Church.

Pastor Berlin and his wife, Michelle, have four sons, Nathan (Taylor), Stephen (Melanie), Andrew (Bethany), and Jonathan (Brooke), and loving their role now as grandparents to their precious grandchildren; Juliet, Eleanor, Ezra, and Thea.
